CT is for lovers

Yep, I officially missed a blog post last week. I was spending the week in lovely Mystic, CT. Most of my time was sitting in a ballroom, listening to some of the most amazing wedding photographers speak about their work & their business. I am so thankful for the experience and was able to learn so much. But I also played hookie and spent a day wondering around Mystic and  the neighboring town of Stonington. I did a little shopping, a little window browsing, took a few pictures and strutted through snow… Overall, it was an amazing trip, just wished my better half would have been there to join me!

Stonington, CT – This quaint little town is a near by neighbor to Mystic. There is a main drag that has little shops, delicious restaurants & a beautiful, old lighthouse.

Then I was off to shop at Mystic Village where I got stuck in what I figured to be a snow storm (I was slowly turning into Frosty just walking around). When I ducked into a shop and told the girl that there was a blizzard outside, she just laughed and shared that it would stop soon & that in CT, that was not even considered a snow. So onward I went and took a few more shots, although I couldn’t feel my fingers…

And as always, I made a few new friends…

The high while I was in CT was 21 degrees… I came home to Houston to a Polar Vortex, where the high was 34- we even had two small patches of sleet in the yard. Guess the cold weather followed me home! But, looks like we are returning to hotter days here in Houston, the weekend shows a high of 73! Wherever you are, stay warm!
